Home Family Genealogy Genealogy Software

I recently had a death in the family and I started looking into some genealogy software because I think it would be nice to start putting my family tree information together. So I started comparing which programs was the best geneaology software out there. So I did a bit of research and a number of geneology software review sites came up.

However, I had trouble trusting many of these sites because I did not know if these sites were impartial or not. So, although I have not choosen which geneaology software I will be using quite yet, I thought I would make it easier for other people to choose.

Basically, the only geneology software reviews that you can trust are ones that have reviews done by impartial comments. Otherwise how do you know if the ratings are are fair or not? So, by far the biggest site that will have reviews of geneaoloyg software is Amazon.com. Amazon sells most genealogy software that you can buy, and it will have independent reviews by people who have purchased the software.

Do not trust other genealogy program review sites, as you do not know if they are independent or not. So what I've done below is provided links from Amazon of some of the most popular genealogy software on the market. From there you will be able to read the independent reviews of people and make an informed choice instead of getting reviews from sites that may be promoting 'their' product in disguise.

Here are links to the most popular genealogy software. Reading throught the comments will help you choose which is the best genealogy software for you. As you can see the most popular programs are products from Family Tree Maker, and Roots Magic.

I've also provided a search link if you want to look up any other programs that I have not listed above.

Hopefully this has helped you in your search. I am sorry I cannot pick the right genealogy program for you because I do not know your exact needs. But if you take a look at what other people have bought, it is basically a tie between Family Tree Essentials, and the Deluxe version.
